19 Year Old Pool Player banks $100,000

There was once a young hustler called Aaron Preston who used to drain the pockets of his rivals in the blink of an eye. His pool-playing skills eventually came to the attention of the gamblers in Amarillo, his home town. They decided to teach him more pool skills and took him on a gambling trip to play pool with the big guns for real money. None of them was left disappointed, especially Aaron himself who pocketed a tidy sum.

As his career progressed, the talented young boy teamed up with legendary Minnesota Fats, and due to their friendship, Aaron was taught a lot about the characteristics of a successful pool player.

Military Career

However, as soon as the army arrived in Amarillo in 1945, all gambling would cease as the Navy beckoned him, but he never abandoned his passion. The naval air base near Portland was where he landed. Young Preston played some poker, rolled some dice at the local clubs, and played pool when he had spare time. Because of the bets he made and won against fellow gamblers, he had accumulated $100,000 in the bank by the age of 19. Numbers that would even impress real money online casino jokacasino players.

His application for military service in 1948 was examined by high-ranking military officials. Based on the aptitude test, the FBI offered him a job because of his amazing math skills.

After being impressed with Amarillo's pool skills, one of the colonels convinced him to tour military bases with pool exhibitions under the supervision of the entertainment department. This gave him the best of both worlds as he got to play his favourite game and still be in the military. Added to his pool playing, he also had a black market business on the side which included selling Mickey Mouse watches popular among Russian soldiers, gasoline, cigarettes, etc. His military career ended with him being filthy rich.
